A spectacular photograph above Deepdale Stadium has been snapped by an amateur photographer – using a drone.
Stephen Melling, 49, took his drone to Moor Park to take pictures of the new skate park, and took photographs of the flood-lit football ground, where England Under-21s took on USA Under-23s.
Stephen, from Grimsargh, near Preston, said: “My brother-in-law told me about the skate park, but it got a bit late and the match was on.
“I was in the corner of the park and sent the drone up.
“It just looked so fantastic so I took a load of footage and took that photograph from it.
“It’s just fantastic, there are so many great photographs.
“I took it to the reservoirs in Longridge, there a some fantastic aerial shots.”
Stephen described himself as “absolutely amateur”, but said he had taken drone footage at beauty spots in and around Preston. He has used his drone, which he described as a “fantastic toy”, at areas including Brockholes nature reserve.
