A charity is calling on members of the public to help it make a dream come true for a Preston schoolgirl.
Bosses at Day of Sunshine want to create a small safe play area for five year old Safaa Master of New Hall Lane, Preston because she can’t play outdoors safely.
At only 11 months old Safaa suffered from neuroblastoma, this then developed into the extremely rare condition called Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome.
Her condition means she uses a wheelchair, she can get around for short distances but poor balance means she falls very easily.
The Acorns Primary School pupil also wears a protective helmet and boots to keep her safe, because of this she is unable to play in her back yard without hurting herself.
So the charity wants to create a safer space for her and need the help of others.
David Lee from the charity said: “We would love to assist Safaa in giving her a safe place for her to play in.
“To make this little girl’s dream come true we are in need of some help with building and materials - outside cushion floor covering and timber to construct a small covered area.
“Please get in touch if you could help in anyway.”
Mum Halima, 29, added: “It will make a difference for her and also to us. She will have a place where she can do the normal things that children do like play outside - I know it sounds so simple but she can’t play outside.”
