The annual health mela in Preston attracted scores of people wanting to find out more about their health and wellbeing.
The Preston Health Mela now in its 14th year, was held at the University of Central Lancashire’s Foster Building on Saturday and featured more than 70 stalls.
Visitors were able to find out about improving their health and there was a range of health checks on offer including cholesterol level, body mass index, blood glucose and hearing,
And there was plenty of fun for all the family with entertainment, the opportunity to sample complementary therapies such as Reiki and Acupuncture and activities for the children ranging from competitions and quizzes.
The popular community health event is organised by the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing, formerly the Lancashire Gujarat Health Users’ Forum.
In previous years it has been held at the Gujarat Hindu Temple and later at the Guild Hall.
