The Alzheimer’s Society is making a fresh plea for volunteers in north Lancashire to support a new project that will see people living with dementia being supported in their own homes.
Volunteers who sign up to the initiative, will be asked to provide support to the same person each week, helping them with a range of tasks including pursing hobbies, shopping and much more.
Debi Marsden f the Alzheimer’s Society said: “Our Home Support service provides an invaluable lifeline to people living with dementia and their carers, by offering them support in their own environment - which may prevent them having to go into residential care.”
