Owners of a Leyland care home have announced it will close, hours after the release of a damning inspection report.
Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors found Hazel House in Paradise Lane to be inadequate in all key areas, meaning it was not safe, not effective, not caring, not responsive and not well-led.
A statement from the owners said the decision was taken because reluctantly because “Within a given timeframe, it was unable to recruit and retain sufficient staff of the right calibre to maintain the standards of care it expects.”
No further details have yet been given.
