Healthcare bosses behind the public consultation on dementia services in Lancashire are calling for more views from the public before the consultation period comes to an end on Monday.
NHS Lancashire and Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust have been consulting since early December 2012 and have hosted a series of open public events which were held across the county in January.
The consultation proposes two options to enhance local dementia services in Lancashire.
Option one is for a single site in Blackpool with extensive community services, and option two suggests two sites in Blackpool and Blackburn with less extensive community services. Both options are fully detailed in the consultation document.
There are currently 17,607 people aged 65 and over in Lancashire with dementia and at least 317 people with dementia in Lancashire under the age of 65.
