Lancastrians everywhere were today marking Lancashire Day.
Various events were being held and Marketing Lancashire was also concluding a major campaign.
Social media users can illustrate their love of Lancashire with photographs of their favourite Lancashire location or activity, in ‘the county where life feels good’ including the hashtags #LancashireDay #wherelifefeelsgood.
Last year a similar campaign reached over 42million people in 816 locations worldwide with #LancashireDay trending on Twitter.
On November 27, 1295 King Edward I invited Lancashire’s first representatives to attend Parliament. Today the event is marked by the reading of proclamations, and events.
Anna Izza, head of PR and Communications at Marketing Lancashire, said: “Lancashire Day is a day when Lancastrians all over the world, thanks to social media, can feel closer to the places and things they love most about Lancashire.”
We want you to send us pictures of what you love about Lancashire - a favourite place, dish or just how you are celebrating, the more the merrier! Tweet your pics to @leponline #LancashireDay or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
