A hairdresser in Preston is a cut above the rest after bagging the Evening Post’s Salon of the Year 2015 title.
Thousands of votes were cast but it was We Love Hair in Watery Lane, Ashton, Preston which beat off 39 competitors to bag the top gong.
And hair stylist Paul Morris, from Preston, who returned to the city from trimming the locks of stars from hit ITV Be show TOWIE down in Essex, has thanked everyone who voted for the unisex salon.
He said: “It is an amazing achievement.
“I’m a very happy hairdresser.
“I’d like to thank everyone who voted.”
A spokesman for the Lancashire Evening Post’s retail sales team said that this was one of the most competitive and popular competitions they have ever run.
She said: “The Salon of the Year contest is one of the most popular competitions we have run in the Lancashire Evening Post.
“It got readers talking because people are really passionate about hair and beauty.
“We had thousands of votes flooding in daily from all over so be nominated is a deserved achievement in itself but to win really is extra special because nominations and votes are cast by customers.
“The We Love Hair team should be very proud of both themselves and their loyal customers.”
Paul, 38, said it is great to be appreciated.
He said: “I’ve been cutting hair all my life since I was 16. I spent four or five years in Essex doing all sorts of stuff and I’ve been back in Preston for two years now.
“It is nice that clients come back to you. The fact that they come back shows they surely do appreciate me and that much makes me feel fantastic.”
