They met through mutual school friends and became engaged when Jack planned a surprise trip to New York. On the first day, they got up early and went for a walk to Central Park. They found a quiet spot and Jack got down on one knee and asked Debbie to marry him.

Born in Wales, Debbie moved to Leyland when she was six and now works as a beauty therapist and Jack, who grew up in Penwortham, is an IT infrastructure architect. Photos: www.h2photography.co.uk

Debbie said: The wedding day itself was the best day of our lives. We had our closest of friends and family there with us, who we love so much and it was amazing sharing that day with them all."
We did a few things ourselves for the day, table centres, sweetie corner, tables setting, picture collage and mini photo stand. All this just gave the day a personal touch."

With this came a few other twists to the occasion. The toast master arranged a Mr and Mrs game and also for a few people to do mini speeches throughout the wedding breakfast. It was a special touch for Jack and Debbie and a surprise too.
A harpist played for the wedding ceremony and Debbie walked down the aisle to Canon in D which gave the ceremony a personal touch as it was played with a Welsh instrument. Their first dance was an acoustic version of Use Somebody by Kings of Leon, from their first concert together.
They spent their honeymoon travelling around the West Coast of America and New York. Photo: An aerial shot of the stunning Villa Levens in Cumbria.
