Goosnargh gran's skydive for St Catherine's Hospice
A grandmother has jumped out of a plane top raise funds for a Lancashire hospice.
The 74-year-old, who has five children, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren, said: “After reading in the Evening Post about a nurse from St Catherine’s Hospice who was going to do a skydive to support the charity, I thought I could do that.
“So I signed up for what was to be an unforgettable experience. I successfully completed the 15,000 ft tandem jump, encouraged on by family, friends and glorious sunshine.
“I like to say a big thank you to everyone for their the donations and well wishes. The icing on the cake was the red, white and blue parachute used to celebrate the Queens birthday.”
