The show provided a great value day of and in doing so carrying on more than 100 years of show heritage.

Chairman of the show, Adrian Hill, said: “It was a great show. We had everything; cattle shows, sheep, little horses, heavy horses, and the likes of children’s play areas.”

Among the award winning cattle was Longshaw Magnus Stella, who was crowned the Supreme Champion Dairy.

The event also showed the World Cup quarter-final clash between England and Sweden ahead of the show’s first ever music festival – GLASFest – which saw more than £1,800 raised for Miles for Mitchie., which is raising money to help Longridge lad Mitchell Brown as he battles a brain tumour.

His mum and dad Tara and Tony helped organise the festival.

Jane Priest, from the organising team, said the event “surpassed all expectations.”
