South Ribble Council has struck gold by scooping not one, but two top awards.

Councillors and staff are celebrating after gaining the Investors in People Gold Standard – putting them in the top seven per cent of accredited organisations across the country.

At the same time, the council has retained its Customer Service Excellence Standard, which recognises services that are efficient and effective in areas such as information, timeliness, delivery, professionalism and staff attitude.

The Investors in People award recognises people management practice and commitment to staff development.
