Lancashire Constabulary is once again preparing to open the doors of its Hutton headquarters to the public.
An open weekend, titled Behind the Badge, will be held at the site off Saunders Lane on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, from 10am to 4pm on both days.
Members of public are invited to find out more about how the force operates, including how the police respond to major incidents, what training the police dogs receive and some of the secrets behind Crime Scene Investigations will be revealed.
There will be plenty to see and do on both days for all the family, including a display of police vehicles, activities for children including a fancy dress competition and live support unit displays.
The event is free and is open to everybody but registration is needed.

Last years’s event was so popular that organisers had to issue more tickets when the initial 8,000 were snapped up.
In total more than 10,000 people attened the two-day event, which was paid for out of cash seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
