With just days to go before the city’s traditional Egg Rolling event takes place visitors are being reminded of arrangements for the day.
The popular event which attracts thousands of people each year will be held in Avenham and Miller Parks on Monday.
The parks will be brought to life through Easterland, made up of music, mad scientists and puppet shows.
The family event will run between 10.30am and 4pm on the day.
There will be a mass egg roll every hour on the hour from 11am with the last one taking place at 3pm.
Where possible families travelling to the attraction are encouraged to use public transport.
However car parking is also available at Avenham multi storey car park.
People are advised to park and walk to the venue and to arrive within plenty of time.
Last year scores of people braved the wet weather to take part in the egg rolling celebration.
And whilst Monday will be a cold day, it looks set to be dry and bright.
There will also be bonnet making workshops throughout the day which will culminate in the Easter bonnet competition which will take place at 2pm in the Pavilion.
There are also many more events taking place across the schools two week break including Lancashire Easter Market, Chocolate Festival and The Chuckle Brothers.
The Lancashire Markey opens tomorrow on Friargate and will be open from 10am until 5pm. There will be food, drinks and crafts on offer.
Wednesday April 3 will see the screening of the last year’s Preston Passion. The show will be shown between 2pm and 6pm at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.
And for those that haven’t had their fill of Easter eggs the Chocolate Festival at the Museum of Lancashire will be held on Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6, where chocolatiers, bakers and sweet makers will be showcasing the best that Lancashire has to offer.
