The Bamber Bridge club and institute played host to a special charity ‘tarts and sisters’ pool game to raise funds for local children’s hospice Derian House in Chorley.

And all were happy to dress-up for the occasion, the ladies team getting in on the ‘sister act’ whilst the male members breaking with normal habits to don some rather outlandish fashions.

He said: “We had wanted to hold a charity evening of some sort for the hospice in support of the great work they do.

“Someone had suggested a “tarts and vicars” night so we decided we would switch it up with the men in drag and the women as sisters.

“Everyone got behind it, enjoyed the dressing up and it was all good fun

On the evening, the ladies team lined up against the male committee members with the men coming out on top over nine matches.

The teams and supporters all enjoyed a chilli supper.

All proceeds from the evening and a charity bingo night will be donated to the hospice.

Edward said it was hoped the charity evening could become an annual event.
