Cheerleaders, dancers, pipes and drums kept the crowds entertained at the annual St Catherine’s Hospice Yellow Day garden fete.
Other attractions at the popular event, sponsored by Barkers Ssangyong, included a range of stalls, fairground rides, games and a tasty barbecue.
The Preston Cyclones Cheerleaders thrilled spectators with their acrobatics, and youngsters from Leyland’s Dance Talent Studio impressed visitors with their moves. A freestyle footballer whose jaw-dropping kicks and tricks have wowed audiences around the world also showed off his techniques.
John Farnworth’s incredible talent has been showcased in adverts for top brands like Pepsi and Nike, and the 28-year-old, who grew up in Longridge, is the holder of five Guinness World Records.Wendy Barker, from Barkers Ssangyong, said they were delighted to lend their support to Sunday’s event.
“The Barker family are simply thrilled to unite with St Catherine’s Hospice and support such a wonderfully joyous and uplifting event,” she said.
The grounds of the hospice, which is marking its 30th anniversary, was decorated with yellow ribbons by members of the public, in memory of their loved ones.
