Firefighters tackle two 'deliberate' car fires

Fire crews were called to two suspected arson attacks overnight.

Crews from Wesham fire station were called to Bryning Fern Lane, Kirkham, at around 2.10am this morning. A car at the roadside was believed to have been deliberately set alight. The fire was extinguished and police were notified.

Firefighters from Chorley station were called to a second suspected arson at Knowlsley Lane, Heath Charnock, Chorley, at around 2.26am. A car had left the road, gone through a wall, and was on fire.

Nobody was injured in either blaze.
