Firefighters free 'distressed' dog trapped in garden gate
Firefighters were called out to the trapped pooch, called 'Princess Shakira', on March 15 after it tried squeeze its head between a gap in railings, say fire services.
The Staffy Ridgeback cross is reported to have tried to follow its owner through the gate as they left their garden in Hawthorne Road.

"Thankfully, we managed to rescue the dog by cutting a metal strut from the gate using a pedal cutter.
