Fire crews tackle shed and fencing fire in Bamber Bridge

Fire crews in Bamber Bridge tackled a blaze which broke out in a shed before spreading to garden fencing last night (August 20).

Two engines from Bamber Bridge rushed to the scene in the back garden of a home in Collins Road at 8.43pm.

On arrival, crews found that the fire had already spread from the shed to the fencing and some garden furniture, but they swiftly brought it under control using hose reel jets.

The fire was extinguished within 30 minutes and no injuries were reported.

A fire service spokesman said: "At 8.43pm, two fire engines from Bamber Bridge attended an outbuilding fire on Collins Road, Bamber Bridge.

"The fire involved a garden shed, furniture and fencing and we used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

"They were at the scene for approximately thirty minutes."
