Fire crews called out to electrical fault at BAE Systems

AN electrical fault at BAE Systems in Samlesbury led to two crews being called out.

At 5am, Preston fire station were called to reports of smoke coming from a machine at the company’s Samlesbury building causing the alarm to go off.

Using a thermal imaging camera the crews located the problem and isolated the system before awaiting an engineer according to watch manager Dave Forth.

No fire broke out and there were no injuries.
