Fire crews called to blaze in Fulwood

A person was treated for smoke inhalation and a building severely damaged after a fire broke out in a garage, say fire services.

Crews from Preston and Fulwood attended the blaze at around 1pm on 16 March at a house on York Avenue in Fulwood.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Two fire engines from Preston and Fulwood attended a fire in a single storey garage at a house on York Avenue.

"When crews arrived at the scene, they used two breathing apparatus sets and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

"One person was treated for smoke inhalation. The fire which is now under investigation caused severe damage to the garage."
