'Fire' closes road in Leyland as emergency services rush to scene

Police, fire and ambulance crews closed off Boundary Street, Leyland, following reports of a house fire at around 4.15pm today.

One police car, two vans, an unmarked police car, two fire engines and an ambulance rushed to the scene, according to eyewitness reports.

Two occupants and their cat were reportedly rescued from the home, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment.
