A drop-in event about work to electrify the railway will be held on Friday.
People will be able to find out more and ask questions about the railway upgrade work on the line between Manchester and Preston.
The drop-in session will take place from 4pm to 7pm at Adlington Community Centre, on Railway Road in Adlington, near Chorley.
A spokesman from Network Rail said: “We will have our project team there to answer any questions the public may have about the upcoming work and any impact it may have on them.
“This work forms part of more than £1 billion of investment across the north of England to improve journeys and enable faster, greener and more frequent train services to operate.”
