Fund-raising co-ordinator John Gibson said: “We had young volunteers from local high school who were all superb and managed to collect over £100 in donations.

“We also had young children as mascots, all of whom attend local primary schools. My thanks also to Mike Inkley who took the photographs. I also wish to thank Morrisons at Bamber Bridge who have agreed to sponsor the Bamber Bridge Football Club primary schools newsletter again this season.
