The couple tied the knot at Mitton Hall on July 6 surrounded by their family and friends in a beautiful ceremony followed by a celebratory reception.

Having first met in 2004 on a night out in Preston, Lee and Sophie met up several times for the first 12 months at the local pubs and bars in the city.

But things soon gathered pace when the Preston couple found out they were expecting a baby.

Sophie said: “I fell pregnant quite early on in the relationship spurring things on at the tender ages of 18 and 20, setting up and moving in together in a terraced house in Preston – Clara Street – our first family home.

“Our first child was born in August 2006 .

“Things were hard, having a new baby boy at such a young age ourselves.

“But against all odds we got through being young parents and both working and we moved into our second home in Ribbleton were we stayed for 12 months.

Then we moved to our current home with two more children – Theo and Amelia-Jane and our eldest son
Jay-Samuel.

Lee, a plasterer proposed to Sophie, a sales assistant, last year on December 23 with all the children there too.

They decided to marry quickly to include all the family, particularly Sophie’s grandmother who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Sophie said: “We wanted to rush the wedding forward so we could all celebrate and have memories to look back on so the wedding was planned within just six months.”

Lee had two best men, Glen Farrell and Jayme Chippendale.

“The Mitton Hall staff were amazing and made the day run so smoothly plus the photographers made us feel at ease and went that extra mile for us.”
