A former teacher has been charged with sexual offences against two teenage girls.

Andrew Willson, 47, of Hollowell, Northampton, was arrested in December 2014 after a complaint from a former pupil.

The offences were allegedly committed when Willson worked as an English and drama teacher at a Lancashire school.

He is charged with seven counts of indecent assault and four counts of gross indecency on two girls between March 1994 and December 1996.

Lancashire Constabulary said that some of the alleged offences were committed on the school premises.

The alleged victims were girls aged between 13 and 15 years old at the time.

He has been bailed to appear before Burnley Magistrates’ Court on October 13.
