Er, have we met before? Yes we used to salsa dance together...

Without realising the pair had already met at the 
wedding of a mutual friend, but they bumped into each other again at salsa dancing classes in Preston city centre.

Emma, a marketing and design assistant from Preston says: “After asking, ‘do I know you from somewhere?’ numerous times, we finally worked out where we had met before.

“We went on to become friends for a long time before we started dating.”

Following a “fabulous” 
holiday in Barcelona, Michael, a systems engineer originally from Blackpool, took Emma to dinner.

Across the table, he 
surprised her with an 
intimate proposal with an 
engagement ring that had been in Emma’s family for a number of generations.

“Michael is very sweet and down to earth so a quiet, low key proposal was exactly what I had expected from him.

“Loving surprises it was the perfect proposal with the perfect ring from my perfect man.”

On October 24, a beautiful autumnal day, Emma and Michael exchanged vows at Eaves Hall, West Bradford, near Clitheroe.

Making her way down the aisle with her mum and sister, Emma was also accompanied by a pianist playing Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.

During their reception, the newlyweds surprised their guests with a homemade treats table festooned with chocolate macaroons, millionaires shortbread, 
jelly beans, vanilla fudge and 
bourbon biscuits.

And when the time came to take to the dancefloor as 
husband and wife Michael and Emma demonstrated their well-honed salsa moves to 
Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You.

Ahead of the evening 
reception kicking off, bespoke Kir Royale cocktails made with fresh blackberries were dished out alongside a 
selection of casino tables.

DJ David Lee played a 
hand-picked selection of 
music from the bride and groom before finishing off with their last dance – the very apt Closing Time by the 
Stereophonics.
