“The Haslam Park bridge deck and railings require significant repairs. Materials are on order and it is hoped the work will be completed and the bridge reopened within the next four weeks.”

The park, off Bristow Ave, Ashton-on-Ribble, features diverse pathways that have been popular throughout the lockdown, with visitors who enjoy walking, jogging, and cycling.

The council aims to have the bridge open for use again within the next four weeks.
