The area around the junction 32 Broughton interchange is the site of regular delays, expected to build up significantly this weekend.

An estimated 172,000 travellers are expected to jet out from Manchester Airport.

Meanwhile, rail travellers should note that the West Coast main line will be closed yet again for another weekend of upgrade work at Watford.

The closure will affect passengers from the north west who plan to travel to London along the West Coast main line and means alternative routes will have to be used to travel in and out of London.

Disruption continues on the rail link passing through Chorley, with a replacement bus service and diversions and some routes.
