The kind-hearted efforts of young people from across Lancashire will be rewarded at a special event next week.

The Celebrate Youth awards ceremony, will see young people’s achievements in areas such as volunteering, community engagement and sport recognised.

The ceremony , which will be held at Park Hall in Charnock Richard on Tuesday, is being organised by Lancashire County Council’s Young People’s Service.

This year’s final will feature presentations of work young people have been involved in, including some performances demonstrating their talents.

Young people between the age of 13 and 19 will receive awards as individuals or groups in six award categories.

Last year’s winners came from across the county and ranged from a youth forum to singer Jack Hardwick.

The awards will be presented by local celebrities and VIPs.
