A host of university staff have been picking up awards.

Team leaders and managers from the University of Central Lancashire have been awarded the internationally recognised Institute of Leadership and Management level three certificates in leadership and management.

The 33 managers received the accreditation after completing an intensive 12 month leadership development programme led by trainer and UK customer service expert Carolyn Blunt.

Modules covered across the year included; managing change, time and resource management, leadership skills, customer service and innovation and communication skills. Carolyn and her team also worked with the managers individually to provide impartial feedback and coaching.

UCLan vice chancellor, Professor Gerry Kelleher congratulated staff and said: “It’s important that we recognise the commitment they have all made, especially as many of the participants are already highly qualified so it’s impressive that they are keen to continue to invest in themselves.”
