Early morning blaze at house but no one hurt

Firefighters were called out to a blaze at a house in Preston during the early hours of Sunday morning.

The blaze occurred in the city’s Dallas Street at 1.23am.

Two fire engines from Preston attended the fire, involving the first floor of the house.

Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, a ventilation unit and one hose reel to bring the fire under control.

No one was injured in the fire and no rescues were were made by firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
