Double fund-raiser in Hutton to help raise funds for treatment abroad

Two communities were joined together for a fiery evening to support Rob Howard and Elaine Dalgleish, who are desperately seeking funds for vital treatments in another country.

The event was held to help Rob, of Leyland, raise funds for therapy to shrink his terminal brain tumour and for Longton resident Elaine’s mission to get to Russia for life-changing treatment in her battle against multiple sclerosis.

Fund-raisers donated a total, £5,401, which will be split between the pair.

During the night there was entertainment from EK Fire Girls and Big Star Events, with ales provided by Withnell’s Brewery and Market Ale House. Croft Bakery, Holgates Butchers, Wood Farm Shop and R Critchley supplied the food and there was also support from Lewis Construction in Chorley.
