Dog rescued from fire
Firefighters rescued a Belgian Shepherd dog called Luna from a kitchen fire in Chatsworth Street, Preston at 2pm.
The fire started when the occupant left a pan unattended and went to the shops.
Workmen let fire crews in, who made sure the dog was okay and ventilated the property.
