Final plans are being completed for the annual Derian House Winter Sparkle Spectacular on Sunday, November 2.
The event, held in Astley Park, Chorley, usually sees thousands of people taking part in festive entertainment and buying last minute presents and decorations.
Once again this year, the Coach House, Courtyard and Victorian Walled Garden will play host to a range of attractions, such as a Taste of Lancashire food fayre, foods from around the world, and a selection of stalls selling gifts and seasonal products in an Austrian-style market.
There will also be a Dickensian Father Christmas inside the historic hall, an outdoor ice rink and the entire collection of Derian House Christmas cards gifts on display in a purpose built marqee.
Susie Poppitt, head of fundraising at Derian, said: “We wanted to make this an event that was free of charge and open to the people of Chorley and surrounding areas who support us so warmly throughout the year.
“Last year, more than 5,000 people visited the attractions throughout the day, and the feedback from those who came has been absolutely fantastic. We hope to build on what was a great event, and make this year even better.”
There will also be reindeers taking carriage rides through the park and for those with a taste for nostalgia, an old-fashioned carousel, vintage bus rides, a Punch and Judy, and timeless Christmas music from Chorley Silver Band.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm.
