The popular takeaway delivery service is to launch in the city later this month.

It is known for its motorbikers and cyclists, clad in light blue, carrying the trademark kangaroo bags.

Dan Warne, managing director of Deliveroo in UK and Ireland, said: “We’ve seen a huge demand for Deliveroo in Preston and we’re excited to be launching this month.”

Already restaurants in Preston including Wrapchic, Slice of Sicily, Frankie & Benny’s, Neela’s, Chiquito, We Don’t Give a Fork and Al Quds have signed up to have their food delivered by the service.

Deliveroo has seen revenue growth of over 650 per cent year on year through its delivery service which customers track on their phone.
