Cyclist suffers serious head injuries after collision in Lytham

A cyclist has suffered serious head injuries following a collision with a Mercedes, say police.

The incident happened on Monday, March 20 at around 8.50am on the A584 Preston Road, close to the junction of Lodge Lane in Lytham.

Police are now appealing for anybody with information about the collision, which involved a silver Mercedes ML250 – a 4x4 style vehicle, to contact them as soon as possible.

PC Adam Crossley, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This collision has left a man with serious injuries and we would now like to piece together exactly what occurred.

“If anybody saw the collision, or has dashcam footage which shows what happened, we would urge them to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
