Cyclist, 25, injured in hit and run in Chorley

A cyclist was injured following a hit and run in Adlington, near Chorley.

It happened at around 1.20pm on Friday on Bolton Road when a cyclist was clipped by a passing vehicle which failed to stop at the scene.

The cyclist, a 25-year-old man, sustained injuries to his wrist, a black eye and cuts and bruises as a result of the collision.

PC 876 Glen Hilton said: “This incident happened near to the M61 bridge and I would appeal to any motorists who may have been in the area at the time and saw what happened to get in touch.”
