Woman taken to hospital after police called to 'stabbing'
A woman suffered puncture wounds to the leg and arm after an argument broke out.
Police were called to reports of a "stabbing" on Grisedale Cresent in the Moor Nook area of Preston just after midnight on Sunday morning.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said when officers arrived they were told a fight had broken out between a 32-year-old woman and 33-year-old man.
"The woman had very minor puncture wounds to her leg and elbow and she was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment," the police spokesman said.
"The alleged offender, a 33-year-old man from Preston, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has since been released without charge."
Lancashire Police said its investigation into the incident was still ongoing.
