Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a woman was groped inside a Preston city centre takeaway.

The victim, a 22-year-old local woman, was inside the Lanvin takeaway on Church Street at around 2.45am on Saturday November 29 when she was inappropriately grabbed by a man.

It is believed that the man spoke with a foreign accent, possibly Eastern European.

PC Luke Newman from Preston Police said: “We are treating this as a sexual assault.

“So if anyone recognises the man on the CCTV stills, or if they were in the takeaway when this incident took place, I would ask them to get in touch with us.”
