A woman has been sentenced to a 12 month community order and supervision for stealing items from a large Preston store - then causing £100 damage to a wall in the shop.

Amanda Jones, 39, of Roebuck Street, Ashton-On-Ribble, Preston, pleaded guilty to theft of £178.64 of goods from Wilkinsons on Friargate, criminal damage to a wall there, another theft and possession of a class B drug.

Preston Crown Court heard the offences were committed during the period of a suspended sentence for racially aggravated public order.

The suspended sentence order will continue, but she must complete a four week curfew.
