Wanted sex offender spotted near HMP Preston

A wanted sex offender with links to towns across Lancashire has been spotted in Preston this week.

A manhunt continues for Kenneth Dickson, a 27-year-old sex offender, who has failed to comply with conditions related to his conviction in 2010 for sexual assault.

This morning (June 18), the force said Dickson had been spotted in Ribbleton Lane, near HMP Preston.

Lancashire Police said they have been unable to trace him after he disappeared from his known address and went on the run 11 days ago on Monday, June 8.

The force went public with his disappearance on Wednesday (June 17) and appealed for help finding him.

Dickson, from Garstang, also known as Stuart, Stewart, Kenny and Dicko, is white and around 6ft 1ins tall.

He has a small scar on his hairline and another on his arm from a tattoo.

Police are urging the public not to approach him, but to report his whereabouts immediately if they spot him.

He is also wanted for breaching court bail conditions, handed down at Preston Crown Court on June 5, in relation to charges of burglary in a dwelling, theft and taking without consent.

Police said Dickson is also known to have connections with Blackpool and Fleetwood.
