URGENT APPEAL: Police search for vulnerable missing man

An urgent appeal has been launched to trace a man who has gone missing from Royal Preston Hospital.

Thomas Newsham, 36, walked out of Royal Preston Hospital where he was receiving treatment at around 3am this morning (Wednesday, August 23rd).

Police say they are concerned for his state of mind and are asking anyone who has any information about where he could be to come forward.

PC Chris Bryce from Preston Police said: “We urgently need to find Mr Newsham and so I would ask anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to let us know.

“Similarly, if Thomas himself sees this appeal, I would urge him to contact us or the hospital to let us know he is okay.”

He is described as white, around 5ft 10ins, of slim build with short dark hair and speaks with a Liverpool accent. He is likely to be unshaven and was last seen wearing a cream t-shirt, navy jeans and blue Adidas trainers.
