A MAN has been rapped with a series of charges after three people were seriously injured in a four-car pile up in Fulwood.

Matthew Bradley, 27, of Redcar Road, Bolton is charged with causing injury by dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking and using a motor vehicle without insurance, related to a crash near the Black Bull pub in Garstang Road at 10.50pm on Tuesday, July 7.

He appeared at Preston Magistrates on Wednesday morning, but the case was deferred to be heard at Crown Court. Mr Bradley remains in custody.

Three members of the same family were seriously injured when an Audi A1 ploughed into their Vauxhall Zafira.

A 56-year-old man and a 72-year-old man remain in a serious but stable condition at the Royal Preston Hospital. A 16-year-old boy was treated for facial injuries, but released home last week.
