A court hearing to determine whether a Preston city centre nightclub should be shut down has been adjourned until June 12.
Macs Bar in Friargate was served with an interim order on Monday afternoon, closing its doors to punters for 48 hours.
Lancashire police had made the application after complaints of disorder and breaches of the club’s licensing agreement.
Today at Preston Magistrates Court, the application was adjourned for a full contested hearing to take place.
The adjournment means the venue will have to stay closed.
The bar’s owner Andy Macdonald took to Twitter this week to reassure revellers the closure was only temporary.
He said: “Macs will not be open for 48 hours until the issue with customers that congregate on Friargate is resolved. Macs is not closing down”
