Uninsured speeding driver crashes car while twice the alcohol limit in Kirkham
A suspected drink-driver has been arrested after they crashed their car while speeding in Kirkham.
Police closed Dowbridge between the A583 and New Hey Lane as a result of a road traffic collision at around 4.20pm today (June 9).
They have now shared a picture of the car involved which shows the bonnet was completely ripped off during the collision, leaving the engine lying in the middle of the road.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of being twice the alcohol limit, twice the road speed limit and for having no licence and no insurance.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Twice the drink drive limit, twice the speed limit, no licence, no insurance and now no engine.
"Luckily only minor injuries. Driver now housed in Blackpool custody."
