Two men wanted after machete attack leaves three people injured at Blackpool hotel

Two men are wanted in connection with a machete attack at a Blackpool hotel which resulted in three people being rushed to hospital.

Approximately seven men brandishing weapons including machetes attacked another group of men at the Doric Hotel in Queens Promenade at around 11.15pm on Sunday, July 5.

Three people were taken to hospital following the altercation but they have since been discharged.

Three men from Preston - aged 17, 18 and 36 - were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder following initial investigations.

The 36-year-old - Patrick Gavin, of Leighton Street, Preston - has since been charged with violent disorder and appeared before Preston Magistrates' Court on July 22.

The 17-year-old and the 18-year-old have been released on bail.

Detectives have now released images of two other men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, both with links to Preston.

DC Danny Farrell, of Blackpool Police, said: "Although we have made some arrests and one man has been charged our investigation remains very much ongoing.

"We want to speak to the two men pictured as part of our enquiries and would urge anybody with information on the incident or their whereabouts to contact us straight away.

"Similarly, we would ask the two individuals to get in touch with police if they see this appeal."

Francis Dinnegan, 25, (pictured right) is described as white, approximately 6ft tall, of large build, with short red hair.
