This is the terrifying moment two men armed with a gun and a hammer entered an off-licence in Lostock Hall and demanded cash.

CCTV shows the men - both wearing hoods with their faces covered - walk into the Booze Stop store in Lostock Hall.

The pair brandished the weapons and demanded the shopkeeper emptied the till.

They made off towards the station with around £400 cash.

One of the men is described as of a slim build wearing a black hooded tracksuit with white draw string toggles, a white zip down the front of the top and dark Adidas trainers.

The second man is described as slim and was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit, with three lighter coloured stripes down the arms, possibly Adidas, and a grey coloured zip and grey cuffs.

He was also wearing black Nike gloves, dark trainers and was carrying a cloth drawstring bag with a large Adidas logo on the front.

The robbery was on Sunday January 25.

Det Con Rachael Ashcroft of Preston CID said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the shop assistant and we are determined to find those responsible for the robbery. Anyone with information about the identity of the men or about the incident itself, please contact us on 101 quoting log number 1242 of January 25th.”
