Teenager pushed off bike by thug

A thug robbed a teenage boy of his bike in Preston.

The incident happened at around 10pm on Monday in Blackpool Road near to the junction with Layton Road.

The victim, a 14-year-old boy, was cycling home when he was attacked and had his bike stolen. A man threatened him before pushing him off his bike into a bush.

The 14-year-old did not suffer any injuries.

Det Sgt Jerry Sturgess of Preston CID said: “This was an unprovoked and callous attack and I urge anyone with any information at all to come forward.”

The attacker is described as a white male, 5 ft 9 in to 5 ft 10 in tall, in his mid to late teens, of skinny build and was wearing a grey zip up tracksuit with hooded top and a black balaclava.

A black Norco Storm mountain bike was taken in the attack.
