A sixteen-year-old boy has been charged with firearms offences in relation to an incident in Longton over the weekend.
Police were called to an address in Longton at around 4.20pm on Saturday, and a teenage boy was arrested at the scene.
He has now been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
DI Roger Ashcroft of Lancashire Police said: “We would like to reassure the public that these incidents, albeit separate, were isolated and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with them. The firearm was also found to be an imitation.
“However if anybody has any concerns they can contact us on 101, speak to an officer in the street or contact their local team. Contact details can be found online at www.lancashire.police.uk/contact-us.”
